Boston University has updated the content of its SCOPE of Pain training offerings to reflect the latest research in safe opioid prescribing.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires all providers who write prescriptions for extended-release opioid analgesics to undergo risk evaluation and mitigation strategy training. Boston University provides this training through its SCOPE of Pain program. Using a case-based approach, participants learn how to screen for patients with an increased risk of misuse or abuse of opioid analgesics and address safe prescribing techniques if an extended-release opioid analgesic is necessary.
The latest SCOPE of Pain online training and sign-ups for live training are available on their website.
