When you become a member of PAEA, you join a community — a vibrant, collaborative community — because the strength of the Association is built largely upon the contributions that members make and share with each other. Our members both contribute to and benefit from being part of PAEA, the #1 place for national PA education leadership opportunities, scholarship, faculty development, and forming valuable relationships with peers.
PAEA is the only national organization in the United States that represents PA educational programs, supporting the development of didactic and clinical education by serving more than 3,500 PA education professionals at more than 240 institutions committed to advancing the PA profession. Because all accredited U.S. PA programs are members, the collective voice of PAEA members can be a powerful tool for interacting with important stakeholders. And being part of this unique PAEA community comes with numerous benefits to help you develop professionally and do your job more effectively. This, in turn, enables your program to graduate outstanding PAs who will provide patients with the best health care possible.
Both developing and accredited PA programs are eligible for PAEA membership, though only accredited programs are full voting members. Additional membership opportunities are available for individuals with an interest in PA education who are not already affiliated with a member institution (Individual Colleagues) and for non-U.S. institutions (International Colleagues).
Join PAEA Anytime During the Year
Prorated membership fees are available to Institutional Colleagues (developing PA programs) as well as Individual Colleagues.
Maintain Your PA Member Program Status
To maintain voting status, PAEA member programs are required to:
- Submit data for the program survey and curriculum survey upon request
- Provide annual updates to the online PA Program Directory
- Maintain an accurate roster of faculty and staff for the Faculty Directory
- Pay annual dues on or before August 1
As a condition of membership in PAEA, programs agree to abide by PAEA’s Code of Ethics. Program directors should ensure that all faculty have read the code and agree to abide by it when interacting with PAEA members, leaders, and staff.
Members must maintain accreditation to stay in good standing as full voting members. Learn more about PAEA Policies and Procedures regarding membership.
Renew Your Membership Today
Annual membership begins July 1 and ends June 30. Membership payment for the 2019–2020 cycle is due August 1, 2019. Access the membership portal to submit payment. Also be sure to update your faculty roster; otherwise, your faculty will miss out on all of the PAEA benefits available.
