Dr. Larrie Greenberg, a clinical professor of pediatrics and director of creative medical education at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, will deliver the keynote address at the 2010 Annual Education Forum, "Making Learning a Collaborative Process," at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 21.
Dr. Greenberg is a clinical professor of pediatrics and director of creative medical education at George Washington University (GWU) School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Washington, D.C. Dr. Greenberg’s keynote will draw from the lessons learned in Stephen Covey’s The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which states that people work most effectively and efficiently in the real world interdependently, not in silos. With the adult learning principles of Malcolm Knowles as a foundation, Dr. Greenberg will discuss how teachers need to connect with their learners in a collaborative way.

Baltimore Overview
This year’s
venue is one of the most popular and accessible
destinations on the East Coast and offers
outstanding value and cultural and historical
attractions. This year nearly 100 hours of
educational sessions are being offered, plus on
October 19, 20, and 24, attendees can take
advantage of the professional development
opportunities provided by the add-on workshops
sponsored by the Faculty Development
Institute.
Attendees will enjoy Baltimore’s vibrant Inner Harbor scene, which is easily accessible from the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Here you will find attractions like the USS Constellation, harbor cruises, the Maryland Science Center, and the Baltimore Aquarium. In addition to waterfront dining, Baltimore’s neighborhoods offer outstanding dining options. Attendees will enjoy exploring the neighborhoods of Fells Point, Federal Hill, and Little Italy — all within walking distance or a short cab ride away — or hop onboard a water taxi to visit Fort McHenry, where the defiantly waving star-spangled banner inspired Francis Scott Key to write the national anthem.
