PAEA Professional Services Welcomes New Advisor

Effective June 1st, James Cawley, MPH, PA-C, will join Eugene Jones, PhD, PA-C, and Paul Lombardo, MPS, PA-C, as a principal advisor with PAEA’s Professional Services team. Cawley brings extensive experience in PA education to this role, including a term as PAEA’s president in 2003.

Currently, Cawley serves as professor and co-director of the Physician Assistant/Master of Public Health Program, as well as professor of Physician Assistant Studies in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at The George Washington University. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications and books related to PA education and the PA workforce and is a member of the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Physician Assistant Education. In addition, he has provided national and international consultation on matters of PA education, including program development and accreditation preparation.

PAEA’s Professional Services has been actively advising both new and existing programs on matters of curriculum and assessment for nearly two years.
