Call for 2018 PAEA Board of Directors

Election

The call for nominations for the 2018 PAEA Board of Directors is open. PAEA’s Leadership Development and Recruitment Council (LDRC) encourages faculty to take an active role in the Association’s leadership activities, either by personally considering Board service or encouraging another member to pursue a Board position.

Board membership represents the highest level of service to PAEA. Board members assume fiduciary responsibility for the Association and are ambassadors for both the profession and for PA education. Through voluntary Board service, members gain the opportunity for personal and professional growth, develop a greater sense of community with their fellow PA educators, and advance the mission of PAEA. Candidates who bring diversity to the Board are strongly encouraged to self-nominate.

Positions Available

Six positions are open for the 2018 Board of Directors: president elect, four directors at large, and the student member at large position (SMAL). An election to fill all but the student member position will be held at the 2017 PAEA Education Forum in  in Denver on a date to be determined. The SMAL position is filled through a separate application and selection process.

Although there is no monetary compensation for your time, PAEA pays all expenses associated with Board service, including attendance at Board meetings held during the year and at the Education Forum.
